Bernhard Bieri

A Development Economist From the Swiss Alps

Hi and welcome to my personal website! After graduating from a Master’s in International Economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute in the summer of 2022, I relocated to Dakar, Senegal, where I am working as a Research Assistant in Poverty and Distributional Analytics for The World Bank.

I (more or less) regularly update this website with blog posts on all things related to statistical computing and economics. Most of my blog posts will therefore leverage R, Python, and Stata with an applied angle.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying new recipes, art in all its forms, and hiking in my backyard.
